I'm sick of ignorant people saying SP in only part ..half or quarter Jamaican. Just like SP I have Jamaican parents that are of African + European+Portuguese Chinese+ Jewish blood/origin. But we are 100% Jamaican. This is normal in Jamaica, a lot of Jamaican have European blood not just African blood ...so why in your white minds do you think that makes us less Jamaican??? Because one race is white and the other black??? Some how 'They think that the African blood lines is Jamaican and the other bloodlines is NOT Jamaican. in other words if you have African blood then you are Jamaican but if your have Chinese blood you are only part Jamaican or not Jamaican at all. Who's fault is this? Even on Sean Paul Wikipedia there is no mention of African blood...instead they use the word Jamaican or Afro Caribbean to describe his African blood. But the black genes is not Jamaican blood or Afro Caribbean blood it's AFRICAN BLOOD! All the blood line mixed together makes Afro Caribbean blood or Jamaican blood.That's what it means to be Afro Caribbean and That's what SP is. Jamaican have all races in their origin."OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE is our motto." (So why have you not clarified that Sean? I know your proud to be Jamaican for sure. But you have to make it clear that you are proud to be 100% Jamaican.)Stop letting Wikipedia and other iiidiat people dilute your Jamaicaness. IT'S a SIN!!!
To spell it out to you really ignorat people It's kind of like Brazil where some have more African blood some more European but they are all still 100% Brazilian if both parents are too.
There are lots of lights skin people like Sean Paul like in my family and all over Jamaica and if Sean Paul is not going to make a point that we are 100% Jamaican and 100 proud of that I will make that point. The black part of my origin ( and Sean Paul's) is not Jamaican (or Arawak Indian the original people on the island) it's AFRICAN and I am proud of that part of my blood most of all!!!!!!!!!!!! Get Wikipedia to us the A word if your are proud of ALL your roots.

I found so many comments about SP that he is gay, he is dead, he is not jamaican... I adooore SP he's not gay ..not dead.. but jamaican 100% ..he says it all the time... if you want to talk about his origin blood and roots ... so yes !! he has many origins... and if you want to mention his nationality.. he 's jamaican... he 's proud of this !!! himself has talked about this !!! he feels jamaican and where is the problem???

You're missing the point. SP is as much as Jamaican in orgin as everyone else on the island. If he's not Jamaican in origin after having centurys of ancesters coming from the island on BOTH sides of his parentage then no one else Jamaican is either. If you know Jamaican history you know the origin of 99% of the people blood is NOT Jamaican. The original people on the island were Arawaks but they all died off. If SP is the son of a Jewish father (whose Portuguese family emigrated to Jamaica in the 17th century) were talking the 17th century man, Apparently still on his father side, his Gran was of African origin and the same again on the maternal side European African + Chinese. Point is, popular used info like wikepedia uses the word Jamaican/Afrocaibbean as some kind of euphemism for African, Why is that?????? Our African blood is no more or less Jamaican than our European blood. Now that is just a fact! We know Jamaican origin really is another origin beit European or African or Chinese or Asian. If you go back as far as the 17th century that's obvious, suggesting that SP is less Jamaican than other Jamaicans because his blood on the dad side is Portuguese is sad. Go back to the 17th century and none of us Jamaicans were Jamaicans we were African, European or Asian it's just riduculas.
All Jamaicans know my point. We know what it means to be of Jamaican origin. If you can believe what you read about SP's parents and grand parents being born in Jamaica. Having Chinese blood doesn't make you any less Jamaican origin than having African blood. But you know what I'll speak for my self and all the MILLIONS of other Jamaican like me with mixed blood and heritige.
Our official island motto from the 17th century is "OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE" if you're Jamaican you know what that means, We are very proud of that fact. Jamaicans are the proudest people on earth about our roots and that's why I had to make this point. If you're not Jamaican maybe you just won't get it.
Sean Paul himself has said in a lot of interviews that his origin is not from Jamaica. But so what?! It's not an offense or something like that. It's just a matter of fact!
I never mentioned his nationality. He is obviously very proud of his nationality. His nationality is Jamaican, mine is British. I was talking about origin. (Basic stuff.) Mine is 100% Jamaican, My parents are Jamaican and our family's blood is mix of African, Portuguese, and Chinese. There is a big difference between origin and Nationality. Just because my parents have mixed blood never stop them from seeing themselves as fully Jamaican.
