Raggamuffin Festival Fails Sean Paul and Fans

Below is an excerpt from the Headlines Newsletter which addresses Sean Paul's cancelled appearance at Ragamuffin Festival:

"Kingston, Jamaica – The promoters of the Raggamuffin Festival cancelled Sean Paul’s appearance but failed to remove him from the advertising.  The result, Sean Paul was unable to travel to Australia to perform for his fans that anxiously expected his appearance.  The artiste has issued a public apology via Twitter regarding his absence from the tour.

The Grammy award-winning performer was slated as one of the main acts for the festival, which had featured concerts in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.  According to booking agent Jerome Hamilton, Sean Paul had his eyes set on making the trip Australia.  “Sean made it clear that he was more than looking forward to performing for his Australian fans however the situation is out of his hands and the promoters have made their decision not to have him on the show, so we just have to move on with that.”

Sean Paul is also issuing an apology to his fans in New Zealand as well, as he was scheduled to perform in that country following his Australian tour.  This is new territory for the Jamaican born reggae star, having performed in over 100 countries around the world during his fifteen-year career."
